Everyone knows about Kendrick Lamar verse on Control offended a lot of rappers. It hit a lot of rappers nerve when Kendrick said “I’m King Of NY”.
Rappers who are not even known in mainstream quickly responded but didn’t even get the publicity to benefit themselves.
When Kendrick verse was heard it basically caught everyone attention in hip hop. The only time where I can remember when hip hop was controversial and competitive is Jay-z vs Nas. It showed two great rappers who are veterans of the game battle for the thrown.
I wish Drake out of all people would respond to Kendrick. You can joke on Drake for singing and being emotional but you can’t deny his talent. On the microphone he’s not someone to mess with or take lightly. Drakes not the type to make diss records or call other rappers out but he was offended what Kendrick said in his control verse.
If Drake steps up to Kendrick it’ll be a classic battle. I believe people will compare it to Jay-z and Nas cause both rappers are still growing as artist.
I would love to see Drake respond to Kendrick.
If Drake does respond to Kendrick who will take Win!?
Maino Rapper from Brooklyn comes out with a song called What Happen ft Jadakiss.
Maino is well respected rapper from Brooklyn, Ny who started to get noticed from his street credibility and also from Smack Dvds.
In his song “What Happen” he raps about how New York fell off with hip hop. Maino is disappointed in NY rappers how we don’t support one another and we should have unity.
Jadakiss another rapper who’s well respected in hip hop and well known in NY jumps on this record. Jadakiss is stating what happen to NY!? Ny doesn’t even have a NY sound everything is a just about making hit records and forgot the concept of NY lyricism.
For everyone who just started being a fan of hip hop, NY rappers created lyricism of story telling, when they would rap of going through poverty and struggle in there society. It’s not about making hit records, it’s about how skillful you are on the mic and talented.
So check this record out by Maino ft Jadakiss “What Happen”. There’s a lot of truth in this song.
I really like this track from Meek MIll, this joint here is the best diss track I heard someone got at Cassidy. Meek Mill & Cassidy use to be cool with one another, they both come from Philly and grew up with each other and know the same people from there hood. It seems either one of their egos got in the way with each other. It’s been around a year since these two emcee been beefing and never resolved there situation.
Back to the diss record Kendrick You Next, in this diss record Meek Mill use beats from 2pac, Biggie, Nas & 50 cent and my opinion he didn’t let them down. Part of hip hop battles you get insult your opponent in all ways, from exaggerating the truth & insults. Meek Mill came out with all of that and rumors that was going in in the streets. It was a good diss track because Meek Mill knows Cassidy personally, so it would favor him on his side.
At the end of the track Meek Mill warns Kendrick Lamar he’s coming for him, it’s not personal but it’s part of hip hop competition. What Meek Mill did in this record to Cassidy, I’m anxious what he got up his sleeve for Kendrick.
You think Meek Mill stands a chance against Kendrick? Did Meek Mill win the battle with Cassidy? If Meek MIll diss Kendrick will Kendrick respond to Meek Mill? What do you the fans think will happen!?
Two weeks ago an historical event had happen for hip hop. A young rapper from Compton, California took hip hop to its origin by calling out other rappers and challenging them in a record called “control”. I never seen so many fans react to a record like this in a while for hip hop.
So many rappers came back with diss records, especially from NY. They’re so many interviews with rappers back lashing at Kendrick Lamar but no one seems to get an interview with Kendrick.
Is this part of Kendricks plan? Did he bite more then he can chew? Is he able to hold his own? What’s his next move?
DJ Felli Fel is back in the studio with a hit record called “Reason To Hate”, featuring Tyga, Wiz Khalifa & Neyo. The last time I remember Dj Felli Fel drop a hit was back in 2008 with the club banger ” Get Buck In here” featuring Akon, P Diddy, Ludacris & Lil Jon.
This record he released been all over the radio station and Pandora. I heard this on Pandora and was surprised it was Dj Felli Fel. It’s an uplifting song for celebration and the club scenes, but most of all it’s good to see collaboration with talented artist in one record.
Everyone is due to their own opinion, so P Diddy post a picture on Instagram of how he feels about Kendrick Lamar. P DIddy makes it clear in his opinion that Jay-z is the “KING OF NY”. Whether Kendrick Lamar says it in his lyrics that he’s King, P Diddy who been in this game and a veteran of hip hop goes against and makes fun of Kendrick for his opinion.
This is what hip hop is about, ripping the track and competing. Finally a lyrical rapper ” Kendrick Lamar” put it on wax and put everything hip hop is about which is a battle and telling MC’s out there to step it up.
In Big Sean record ” Control” which is on his album “Hall Of Fame”, Kendrick goes in, honestly I don’t even like the song I just like what Kendrick Rapped about, he understands the nature of hip hop.
Hip Hop in today’s generation is all about getting high, party , jewelry. It seems that hip hop has lost it’s heart and meaning for it’s purpose.
They’re so many veterans of hip hop such as ” Styles P” (who been around since Notorious Big & 2pac) when he was interviewed he said on Vlad TV “everyone’s all buddy buddy and friends and shit”. You got to shit on some of these rappers and let them know your the fucking shit, your not to be fucked with on a track.
Check Kendrick Lamar Lyrics
” heard the barbershops be in great debates all the time
Bout who’s the best MC? Kendrick, Jigga and Nas
Eminem, Andre 3000, the rest of yall
New niggas just new niggas, don’t get involved”
“I’m usually homeboys with the same niggas I’m rhymin’ wit
But this is hip hop and them niggas should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale
Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake
Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller
I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you niggas
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas”.
Sway Colloway had something to say on instagram, saying he salutes what Kendrick Lamar did on the track. Kendrick Lamar just elevated hip hop with that verse!!!! Rappers better step it up this is hip hop baby!!!!
What do you guys think!? was it genius or crazy!? Or is it his ego?
